The Norwegian Stave Church in Borgund
Borgund Stave Church (Norwegian: Borgund stavkyrkje) is a stave church located in the village of Borgund in the municipality of Lærdal in Sogn of Fjordane county, Norway.
It's a wooden church, built around 1180 on stone foundations, with 5 altar crosses & 5 on the walls. The ability and beauty of human work was an inspiration for this painting.
Also, many Americans have Norwegian ancestors and they use to visit the largest Scandinavian festival Norsk Høstfest in Minot, ND every year in fall. This picture is dedicated to those who have Norwegian blood in their veins.
